"Saw Beth Hart tonight at the Somerville Theater show, Saturday 2/27. Wow. This artist is seriously the real thing. She can rock hard like early Chrissie Hynde, coo and wail like Sinead O'Conner, then go sultry like Peggy Lee and roll all that together. And even that's unfair, cuz she really is her own thing. Her presence is exuberant, playful, angry, and deeply passionate in turn. The band behind her is talented, very tight, and unusually versatile. They can rock hard then lighten up whenever needed, turning on a dime. Well worth a close look." Mr. Ivories.
