Needtobreathe delivered a performance last night at the Boston House of Blues that was equal to any show I have seen and surpassed most. They are that good. This tour is backing their newest release 'The Reckoning' and like it's namesake, this band demands your attention and utmost respect.
The show was a locomotive of charging rockers, soulful ballads and musicianship that were both calming and invigorating at the same time. Stellar performances of "Oohs And Ahhs", "Drive All Night,", "The Outsiders" and "Washed By The Water" are just a few of the highlights.
The band, Bear Rinehart (vocals, guitar, piano) - Bo Rinehart (guitar, backing vocals) - Seth Bolt (bass, backing vocals) - Joe Stillwell (drums, backing vocals) are from rural South Carolina. They are not new, having produced four CD and EPs, toured with the likes Train, Collective Soul, Taylor Swift and performing at Bonnaroo.
"We've always bought into the fact that anything worth having is going to cost you a lot, so I think we were prepared to lose everything. The Reckoning is our investigation into everything we believed to be true and a justification for everything we still do."
