In one year, Of Monsters and Men, has gone from Brighton Music Hall to Boston House of Blues and now The Orpheum. This band is now added an elite fraternity of bands that play energetic, creative and fresh sounding music that is a pleasure to listen to and watch perform. Bon Iver, Mumford and Sons, Avett Brothers, Scars on 45 and The Head and the Heart come to mind. This six-piece band is from Iceland, formed in 2010. The members are co-singer/guitarist Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, co-singer/guitarist Ragnar "Raggi" Þórhallsson, guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, piano/accordion player Árni Guðjónsson, bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson, and trumpeter Ragnhildur Gunnarsdóttir, who joined in the 2012 tour.
